How We Helped a Designer Coordinate Packaging for a Restaurant Group

A real project showing how YTS Packaging helped a designer review, source and coordinate multiple food packaging products for a restaurant group.

Custom Restaurant Packaging Production

A Packaging Project with Multiple Products

A designer contacted YTS Packaging to source a range of packaging products for a restaurant group. The project involved more than one type of packaging, so every item needed to be reviewed and quoted separately.
The original request included:
  • PLA two-compartment food containers
  • Custom-size kraft food boxes
  • Aluminum-lined kraft hot dog bags
  • 8 oz and 12 oz double-wall kraft coffee cups
  • Black coffee cup lids
  • PLA/cornstarch forks, knives and spoons packed in individual kraft paper bags
  • 2 oz sauce cups
  • Kraft paper shopping bags
Quantities varied between products. Some items required 5,000 pieces, while others needed quotations at both 5,000 and 10,000 pieces.

Checking the Details Before Quotation

For a project involving several packaging categories, sending a quick price is not enough.
After receiving the inquiry, we carefully checked the size, material, construction, printing requirements and quantity of each product. We also discussed details such as cup and lid compatibility, food-contact materials, bag lining, printing coverage and individual cutlery packing.
Each item was calculated separately because different materials, specifications and quantities can affect production costs and final performance.
Our role was not only to provide prices. We also helped the designer organize the packaging requirements and communicate the technical details more clearly to the restaurant group.

From Inquiry to Confirmed Order

The project required approximately two months of communication and review. During this period, specifications and prices were updated as the designer and the restaurant group decided which products were most suitable for the first order.
The designer later confirmed:
“The client has decided to move forward with some items to order.”
The client did not need to order every product at the same time. By separating the quotation by product and quantity, they could select the most suitable items for the first stage of the project.

Supporting Designers and Restaurant Brands

Designers often manage the visual direction of a packaging project, but they may also need support with materials, production requirements, samples and supplier coordination.
YTS Packaging works with designers, restaurant groups, cafés, bakeries and startup brands to turn packaging concepts into practical products.
We can assist with:
  • Reviewing packaging specifications
  • Checking artwork before production
  • Comparing suitable materials and structures
  • Preparing samples
  • Coordinating different packaging products
  • Providing production and shipment updates
  • Adjusting solutions according to quantity and budget
Whether you need one custom package or several coordinated products, we can review the requirements item by item and help make the sourcing process easier.
